More fishing!

Sept 25-27th, 2009

003

Gabe and Kelsey arrived Friday night and are staying the weekend with us. Saturday night they went fishing at the lake and caught a nice large mouth bass.

002

Kelsey actually caught this fish and as you can see she is proud of it. One good thing about a private property is that no fishing license are required.

006

The next morning the kids got up early and headed out to go fishing again and as you can see Gabe caught a nice large mouth bass as well. I think his is bigger Kelsey … sorry hon!

I was planning to attend church but since the kids were here, they wanted breakfast and Heather and the grand kids are heading later today.

010

Heather and I took Hailey and Toby to play at the park …. Hailey enjoyed the slide and of course Toby had to do what ever big sister did.

011

Of course mom had to go down the slide with him and then his attention went to all that sand!

Then Hailey wanted to swim and of course so did Tob man and so once again mom had to swing with him as he isn’t big enough to do it by himself like big sister. Although … shhhh … don’t tell Toby as he thinks what ever big sis can do he can do

after the park it was time to go visit the water fountain. Hailey loved it, Toby wasn’t so sure

After the water fountain it was back to the camper and bike ride time. Heather brought her bike and Hailey brought hers. Papa and Grandma took the time to catch a few minutes of rest before the next round.

037

Once the bike ride was over it was time to go fishing. Toby wasn’t much into fishing, so mama took him for another bike ride and so Hailey, papa, Kelsey and Gabe fished, while grandma took pictures.

The fish might not have been the catch they were looking for but they at least were catching and enjoying themselves.

After fishing it was time to head back to the camper, fire up the grill and start dinner. Dinner was bbq pork steak, mac & cheese (Toby & Hailey favorite) corn and cake for desert. After dinner it was getting late and Hailey has school in the morning. Of course she wasn’t ready to leave and wanted to stay longer but with her bag of candy we finally got her loaded up and on her way home. Gabe and Kelsey left a bit later and it was time to clean up. Although i sent all the left over home with Heather for Tyson since he worked all day while we all played. I left the dishes for in the morning. Got my shower and hit the sack. It’s been a long and exhausting few weeks and i was past ready for bed.

Home is in Illinois

Sept 21-24th, 2009

We got up Monday but it took both us a bit to get to moving. Then it was finally time to check things out and find a more permant parking spot. We tried to dry everything off we could and load all of junk in the car the best we could. That is a down side to moving your home and all your stuff at times. Rain is not a good thing when you have been parked awhile in one spot and have to load everything up wet!!!

Once we got loaded, moved and unloaded again, we went into town to get some groceries. As you can imagine we wanted an early to bed night but we had company. Gabe and Kelsey came over and stayed late, several friends close by stopped by to welcome us back and say hello. Finally around 11.30 am we got to bed.

Tuesday we got up early and got ready, Gabe and Lenny both had doctor appointments. After we seen the doctor got med’s filled it was late afternoon. We stopped by Tyson house and seen the grand kids and then arrived home late. Another late night.

Were not sure about being so close to the kids again. Seems we haven’t much time to ourselves since arriving this week without them and Gabe and Kelsey are heading back over to stay with us this weekend.

long days of driving

Sept 17 - 20th, 2009

I got up early again today 17th and loaded my car down and headed back to Illinois. I am spending the night tonight again with Gabe and then heading back to Missouri on Friday the 18th with my oldest son. He is coming down to spend the weekend by himself with us and then we are all heading back to Illinois for some time. We arrived late Friday night and then back up early Saturday even though it’s raining. Tyson and Lenny still went fishing and luckily it rained a bit in the morning, cleared up for afternoon and started back in that night. Unfortunately we had to pack several things wet. I hate packing up when it’s raining but unfortunately for us we were on a dead line and that is something were not use to much these days. Tyson had to be back on Sunday night to be back to work on Monday.

Sunday 20th we started out with a late start as Tyson went fishing that morning. That one more last time thing and then we had several friends stop by for good bye hugs. It was around 2 pm before we actually got on the road and then we stopped about 4 pm for something to eat at McDonalds and the RV wouldn’t start. Oh no, nothing! Hubby decided it was the battery and so luckily for us Wal-mart was across the street so Tyson took me over in his truck and we purchased a new battery. When we got back hubby had the RV running and said we were going to hit the road while it running just in case. So instead of shutting off when stopping at rest stops, we left the RV running and lucky for us we didn’t need to stop for fuel anymore. Tyson did have to stop for fuel in his truck about 20 minutes before arriving to our new home.

I called Gabe and he met us and brought our car to us, as i had left it at Tyson house for my daughter to have to drive while we had her truck. Tyson helped us haul a bunch of our junk back and Gabe and helped him unload his truck. We pulled in around 9 pm and just parked by a street light and unloaded Tyson’s truck. We were so glad to be parked for the night even though we have to move again in the morning.

After the boys left, we straightened the inside enough to get to the bathroom and go to bed. It’s been an exhausting day and I'm glad were moved for awhile again.
