heading to the beach!

I got up and worked on getting the motor home ready to roll! Ms. Southwind is heading to beach! Ms. Southwind finally got to roll out around 1.30 pm. Several of the Volunteers stopped by to chat, they were making sure Ms. Southwin was coming back. Ms. Southwind is surrounded by some wonderful people here. As you can see the dogs were ready and staked out their riding spot.

Wasn't on the road an half hour and it started to rain really hard, luckily it didn't last very long and then it cleared up and the rain was gone.

Here is the veiw when crossing the bridge. Their working on the bridge I had to cross, i am not sure what I am going over, i'm thinking a type of bay?

Coming in on the side of 79 to Panama City Beach is not the pretty view as you can see, this is more of the run down area.

Here is what the more scenic view of Panama City Beach looks like, as you can see the veiw is much better in this area. Once you get the information center on 79, the veiw is better and then .....

Here is what the view looks like along ALT 98 along Beach Front road.

At first you see houses, stores and then comes the ....

Big hotel resorts and the palm trees...now were beginning to look more like what I've always seen Florida looks like.

Then in between the buildings there is what most tourist come to see .... the beach! I took these pictures as we were going down the road.

This picture here is the county beach pier area, where there is nice parking and all kinds of amusement parks near the area. They were all still closed as their tourist activities don't open up until around the end of Feburary.

Ms. Southwind arrived around 3 pm at St. Andrews State Park in Panama City, Florida. She got registered and found her site and got set up. Then I drove down to the beach at St Andrews state park.

The wind was blowing and as you can see they had some nice size waves. I enjoyed watching the waves and walking around, then headed back to the camper.

This picture is of the parking lot in the beach area. Tomorrow is the family gathering, everyone will be arriving tomorrow to spend the week. My grand daughter wanted to celebrate her 4th birthday at the beach, so it was agreed that everyone would meet and spend the week here. A family gathering that doesn't happen these days. Everyone has their own lives it seems these days.

Here is where Ms. Southwind is parked. It's in a beautiful spot and I'm just relaxing for evening.

Night everyone ...
