The kids arrive!!!

I got up and got things around. Hubby and I took a walk with the dogs and the kids called to say they were here. I went down and met the kids at the gate. I was so excited to see my Princess, she came running to grandma with open arms and WOW, i got lots of hugs and kisses!! Those are something she doesn't give out easily. I hugged the kids and we checked them in. Hailey rode with me to take them where their spot was.

Back at the campsite we did more hugs and hubby and I was so happy to see our kids and esp our little Princess!!

We got the kids setup and then i fixed brunch and we headed to the beach.

It's a cool day here in Florida but the kids said compared to Illinois it's warm to them. They've been having temp's in the teens.

As you can see Hailey couldn't wait any longer, she was ready to head to the beach. She was just to look and as you can see that didn't last long.

Then after she is all wet, she goes running to her dad and want's him to pick her up and he doesn't want to, but as you can see she wins and she succeeds in getting him wet. LOL

Here is my baby (Gabe our youngest son) even had on his shorts, yes with his boots!

Doesn't he look so cute, and what a fashion statement!!

This is the first time he has seen the Ocean and he was so excited. It hadn't dawned on us that he didn't get to see the Ocean last year. It was wonderful to share this experience with him. Hailey worked until she got him into the water.

After playing in the water with Hailey, Gabe needed some time with his dad, so they took a walk down the beach with just the two of them. I snapped this picture of them walking back.

I snapped this picture of Tyson & Heather walking along the beach (Our oldest son and his wife). As you can see our grandson is growing.

After about an hour or more playing in the water Hailey finally got cold enough she was ready to go back to the camper and get warmed up. She was so cold and shivering that we took her wet clothes off her and Papa gave her his long sleeve shirt to wrap up in and of course she wanted Papa to carry her. On the way to the car, i asked her how she liked the Ocean and she said she loved it and she loved Papa for warming her up. Lenny said he could feel her sucking his body heat. Isn't this just an adorable picture that i captured? We got her into the car and turned heat on high. Of course we were all sweating but it she needed the heat. She sat on my lap and then when we got back to the camper. She wanted Papa to put her in his bed. Yes, sand and all. Of course she thought that was so funny and had to have him come check out the sand in his bed from her.

After Hailey got warmed up she was ready to return the beach, her parents wanted to take a nap as they had a very long drive.

They drove straight through for 14 hours! So we told them to take a nap and Gabe, Chrissi (dil - sister), Lenny, Hailey and I all went back to the beach. Of course once again Hailey said she was only going to look and promised not to get in the water. We decided to take them to a different area. There is a rock fishing pier and hubby had been wanting to check it out. So we drove over and walked to beach down by it. Here is a picture of Gabe, he just had to climb on the rocks. Of course when uncle Gabe did it Hailey had to do it. Here she is intimating what her favorite uncle is doing.

While we were at the rock pier this huge boat went by and we all enjoyed watching it cruise by.

Over by the rock pier this is a tall wall of sand and we all had a great time writing our names on it. Here is a picture of Hailey trying to kick sand on Uncle Gabe. Of course she finally succeeded!

Hailey decided it was a much better to climb up and slide down it then writing on the wall. Of course Papa and Uncle Gabe had to climb up it with her.

Hailey had a blast playing in the sand, after several hours we were all tired and ready to go back to the camper, but of course she insisted just a little bit longer and then ......

Yes, she just couldn't resist, she had to get back into the water even though she promised not too. But look! She got Papa into the water with her this time. How can i say anything when Papa is in the water too.

It's amazing how much a grandchild can get you to let them do and get by with. Although as you can see Papa wasn't minding being in the water.

Before we could finally leave the beach, Hailey had to write her name on the beach one more time. We had a wonderful day!
