Mr. Genny

Several people have emailed me asking about the brand and size generator purchased after buying Ms. Southwind. So since it's starting to thaw out and determined to get the rest of the hitch hooked up. I thought it would be a great time to post about Mr. genny. A basket was built on the back of the motor home for the generator. So an extension had to be made for the hitch. I'm so glad he is a welder/fabicator.

Without a generator staying more then over night in Ms. Southwind would not be very comfy. Batteries run down below the recommended 50% . So the generator will be used to charge these batteries back up when Ms. Southwin is not on the road. Will be replacing both house batteries before the next journey begins. One always says it's good the other one always says low. Haven't been able to do any boondocking other then a over nighting. But now can stop and enjoy any area that choose. The generator was purchased right after got Ms.Southwind ...

I know some people do not care for the Chinesse brands, but several people we know has them and had good luck with them. We couldn't beat the price either. As you all know I am very cheap!!! So far it has worked good for us when we've needed it. Here is what we purchased.....

List price: $1499, we got this on sale for $1280. Hubby bought it from one of the companies he works for and so we didn't have to pay sales tax or shipping, plus the adapter we need to plug our RV into was thrown in free. I think they are around 10bucks. What a deal huh!!
