Plans halted!
Well were suppose to be heading out by now but .. oops .. not happening! I got up around 5. 30 am and finished getting things around. hook up the tow dolly and finally get the car on it .. ughhhhh .. what a job that is! Around 10 am ready to roll. Ms. Southwind gets out of the campground and heading down the road when all of the sudden i can see the front end of the car in passenger mirror .. wow the car is cross ways!! get out and check it and behold. Something is major wrong!! get turned around and pull back into the campground, unhook the car and tow dolly I call the company purchased the dolly at and he gives some suggestions.
Grrrrrr It still remains to be seen if actually heading out today or not. hmmmmm ... when does lady luck ever change? Nothing ever seems to be easy . Of course this is the first time ever towing a vehicle I will let you all know how it goes .. until later .............
Ughhh even more bad news ... comes back from town and for some reason notices the driver side of the camper. Oh my the entire back wheel fender is coming off!! Apparently the turn going out of the campground put the dolly and camper in such a bind because it's such a tight turn that it popped the wheel cover and side off and bound up the tow dolly. got a different hitch but that wasn't the problem. The problem was the swivel plate that moves when you turn a corner was bound tight! Had to beat it lose with a hammer and spray it with some oil. Finally the dolly fixed and now the fender. It's looking like not heading out today after all. Had to run back to town and get some screws to use to screw the fender and side back in.
Okay update .... just got back from a trial run and everything seems to be working fine now. no problems, but not going out the same way again. This time taking the back way out of the campground in the morning. If all goes well plans are to head out in the morning. Let's keep the fingers crossed, no more bad luck!
Oh NO ... I think I may be coming down with the flu!!! I just assumed it was from being wind burnt from being outside today. But, it's 8.30 pm and aching all over and head stuffed up and throats hurt. It looks like may be the flu ... hmmm i sure hope feel like driving tomorrow. I'm beginning to doubt will be heading out tomorrow either. I guess it's a good thing as Full-timers our plans are written in jell-o .. After all, we are on our time!
Stay tuned and find out weather or not it's a go on the next adventure .... Until later .....
