Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, MO
We decided to do some site seeing and on the list today is Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, MO. We were slow moving this morning and arrived around 11 am. The parking lot wasn’t overly packed and so we didn’t do bad in getting a nice parking spot.
After entering and admiring the tree the next thing we saw was the real live croc that they had just put on display yesterday! It’s a 14’ croc and I'm not sure but this picture is not dis-colored this is exactly what the lightening was in this part of the display. Even the pig looked funny in this part of the building.
After checking out the croc and the huge fish tank, that i couldn’t get good pictures of because of the lightening we moved on over to Santa land. I found some of Santa's reindeer.
Santa’s elves were giving the kids free train rides although they had a little mishap where the train went off the track. The elves were working on it. I couldn’t leave out the miniature village. Made me remember the Christmas village i use to put out every year in my stick home. Although i have to admit it still didn’t make me miss having a big stick home to put all the Christmas things up. Instead it made me appreciate the work i no longer have to do … hmmmm
Although i truly enjoyed admiring this display and i took my time going through it. It was time to move on to the next part.
I thought these deer were different and i had never seen a deer with velvet on it’s horn mounted. This other deer was unique.
Next it was time for the turtle display and i have to warn you, there is a little R rated in this display as 2 turtles were playing piggy back.
Isn’t this one large turtle? I know it’s hard to see but the lightening was horrible for picture taking. I decided to still post it on my blog as it’s one huge turtle!
After the Christmas display this was my favorite display throughout the entire place. The hunting display was absolutely gorgeous and i can not do it justice with the pictures i took.
Well it was until we got to these critters. I’m not a snake person but to do the display justice, i took these pictures for you snake lovers.
The copper head was sleeping but this snake was wanting out … i don’t think so ….
This rattle snake was hiding under a rock and you couldn’t really see him so i zoomed in and took his picture for you snake lovers .. ewwww
We didn’t go through the boat display as neither us were thrilled about boats and to be honest we were both exhausted and ready for our tour to be over. We did go upstairs and check out the dinning room. Looked to fancy for us to eat at, so we opted out. That is all you could see upstairs as it was all under construction. Coming down the other set of stairs we found more bears.
Next it was the camping display and of course what is camping without fish … hubby was thrilled with their choice of fish. Yep … trout!!
They had another bear and i can honestly say this is the first time i’ve ever walked into and came face to face with a bear!! I’m just thrilled it was not a live bear!!
There was more fish and these fish were huge.
Finally we were back to our enter/exit area and here is what it looked like from inside exiting. I thought the fireplace was a very nice accessory.
It was a great day and we enjoyed our site seeing. Although we were exhausted and very tired from all the walking. I hope you all had a great day and until next time …..
